Sire line is Bairactar, her dam family traces to the mare Selma bred by Abbas Pasha in 1865 in Egypt, imported to England in 1891. Dam family strain is Hamdani Simriya.

Her sire *Amsterdam is the Tallin son, out of Axioma, a Kumir daughter, and imported from the Kossack Stud by Gilbert Van Camp in 1986. These are rare lines here in the US, and we feel very fortunate to have her in our SR program as *Amsterdam was gelded fairly young so he leaves very few SR sons and daughters to carry on his lines. She is incredibly sweet, and easy going. Kapriona had her first foal at the age of 16. You can see TTanara SR on her own page. Pictured above a month before foaling.
