WELCOME TO SUNRIVER ARABIANS WEBSITE
 
 
Greetings!  We are a small breeding farm located on the beautiful prairie of eastern Colorado, thirty miles north east of Colorado Springs in the Bijou Basin.  
 
It is my daughter's love of the Russian Arabian that began this venture.  The horse that started this journey, Muscat's Avalanche, a grey gelding by *Muscat.
 
Our program concentrates on straight Russian, and Russian-related Arabians.  With our *Tamerlan grandson, and several of our mares having *Tamerlan up close,  we have doubled up on his great athletic ability (he holds race records in Russia to this day), he also consistantly produced strong hips, and loins, without losing type, or balance.
 
Our breeding goal is to consistantly produce sport horse types, with great athletic ability, correct form, and true Arabian beauty. 
 
A trainable disposition is a must in our program!!  The mares, and stallions in our herd were selected for this reason.  Check out our senior stallion TTitans Gold on his page to see pictures of his gentleness.  We have one or two foals a year, we are breeding for quality, not quantity. 
 
The Russian Arabians bred at the Tersk Stud in Russia had to prove themsleves on the racetrack, and only the best were allowed to breed on.  They were of sound mind, and body, and we are very fortunate to have the progeny of these magnificent horses in our lives.

We are expanding our horizons, and looking to Western, and Eastern Europe for stallion prospects.  We have found some stellar stallions that would be great outcrosses for our mares.  We are drawn to the older rarer bloodlines, and ones that are not common here in the US.

Every one of us is a work in progress.  Any pain, disappointment, or chaos that exists in our lives is not because this is how life is meant to be, but only because we have not yet finished the work that brought us here.  That work, quite simply, is the process of freeing ourselves from the domination of the human ego and creating an affinity with the essence of God, Allah, Creator,  what ever name we give to the Divine.
