Sire line is Saqlawi, and her dam line traces to the mare Urfah of the
Saqlawi Al Abd.
Urfah was imported by Homer Davenport, in 1906, she is the ancestress of the Saqlawi Davenports. Interesting note on Urfah, she was taken at gunpoint after her owner in the desert changed his mind about selling her.
She has incredible substance, and a beautiful face, and kind eye. She resembles her dam, with a little more refinement to her face and neck. Some greats in her pedigree are *Tamerlan, *Padron, Bright wings, Tameranna, *Bask, Witez and Podruga, a beautiful Priboj daughter. Distrustful when she first arrived here, she is now very friendly, and is the first horse to greet me at the gate.
